An Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion is a layperson formally trained and instituted to distribute the Body and Precious Blood of Jesus Christ during the Roman Catholic Mass. Foremost they are entrusted with this privilege in taking the Holy Eucharist to the sick, elderly and homebound of the parish with the utmost care and reverence.

Lectors are prophets and heralds of the Word of God. Their ministry is to bring the printed Word to life by their voice, their attitude and their physical bearing at Masses and special Liturgies. In bringing the scriptures to life, Lectors provide the congregation with an opportunity to encounter God's healing and strengthening Word as it goes out to the ends of the earth, accomplishing the purpose for which God sent it.
Meetings will be held approximately 4 times a year and monthly mailings include a newsletter from the Pastor and the coordinators of the Liturgical ministries. If you are interested in this Ministry, please call the rectory at 718. 837.3400.

The Choir meets on Tuesday for rehearsals and meets on Sunday at the 11:00 AM Mass. The choir is open to all who have a willingness to praise God through singing. The choir also performs for all major feasts and church functions. Musical experience is helpful, but not necessary.
